As we enter February you would think our timelines would be inundated with messages from brands about Valentines Day. Whether they are encouraging you to embrace it or rebel against it, you’d think they would be there! This year however things seem different. I’m not seeing the usual noise about Valentine’s Day from brands. I’m not sure if it’s because I’m just not active in the places that these message are perhaps being shown or if there has been a conscious effort by brands not to do anything…
Whatever it is, it hasn’t stopped everyone!
Whilst the efforts of some brands can usually be a little cringe worthy. Some have often been quite clever and pretty entertaining. Here a short (not by choice!) round up of the various campaigns or ideas I’ve seen and particularly enjoyed this year. I know there may be more campaigns or ideas coming across my timeline eventually, but as it stands here are my favourites:
Swarvoski: #BrillianceForAll campaign introduces ‘Yes to Love’
In a series of short videos Swarvoski brand ambassadors share what love means to them. A selection of them are on their YouTube channel. All in all the campaign looks at and celebrates love in all it’s forms. It’s simple but effective as highlighted in this evaluation of the campaign.
Kazvare Made It
There are soooo many options when it comes to Valentines Day cards. This year however, if you are looking for a little nostalgia, I’d suggest heading over to the Kazvare Made It! Remember when Solange Knowles lashed out at Jay-Z in the lift because she had so much love for Beyonce? There’s a card for that. You need to tell your significant other that they spice of your life? There’s a card for that. There are are so many more that will keep you throughly entertained.
No matter what your dietary preferences if you’re looking for a relatively cheep savoury option to your Valentines Day dinner you can always try Greggs. Yes, that’s right I wrote Greggs. They got the internet talking when they recently released this video about their Valentine’s Day offering in some stores…I’m not saying that I would take them up on the offer but hey it was an good campaign!
